Henry, age 86, of Aurora, Oregon, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Salem Health Hospital.Leo was born on August 25, 1930 in Skellytown, Texas to the late Cecil and Essie (Derryberry) Henry.An Army Veteran, Leo served during the Korean War. After retiring as a Social Worker from the Oregon State Mental Health Division, Leo offered counseling services from his home. He spent his life in service to the Lord as a devoted Christian and member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed reading and was an avid historian. Leo had a passion for his quarter horse, Singer, and all things cowboy-related. He is survived by his wife: Dolores Henry; children: Brian (Ruth) Henry, Matthew (Karen) Henry, Melinda (Bill) Ingram, Darin (Karen) Henry, Lisa (Brad) Holliday, Eric (Nikki) Henry, Diane (Michael (deceased)) Vesely, and Dwayne (Terri) Ratzell; 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.Leo was preceded in death by his first wife: Shirley J. Brown; his twin-brother: Cleo Lee; and half-sister: Betty Jo.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Keizer Church of Christ, 5405 Ridge Dr NE, Keizer, OR 97303.
