Leo T. Curley, 58, of Irish Hill, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 19, 2015, unexpectedly. He was born on December 21, 1956 in Binghamton, N.Y., to the late Jack and Louise (Guiton) CurleyHe is survived by one uncle, John Guiton, Irish Hill; one aunt, Sandra Guiton Brokaw, Mooresville, N.C., and numerous cousins.Leo graduated from Elk Lake High School and was a retired Corrections Officer for the Susquehanna County Prison. He was a member of Saint Francis Church, Knights of Columbus and National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, firearms, his dogs and visiting with family and friends. Leo was a loving God Father and treasured friend to many and will be dearly missed by all.Leo was extremely proud of his Irish heritage and loved the Old Irish Blessing: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His Hand.A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Friendsville, with Rev. Casimir Stanis of St. Brigid's parish officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns' Cemetery, Flynn. Visitations were held Monday evening at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose.Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Rush Volunteer Fire Company and Montrose Minute Men for their tremendous support to Leo and his family.
