Leon Harry ButlerOxnard, CALeon Harry Butler was born on December 2, 1940, in Camden, New Jersey into the union of Allen Lloyd and Helen Elizabeth Butler. He enlisted in the
United States Navy on August 5, 1959 and retired on October 7, 1978. On July 16, 1979, he was employed by the Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory Pt Hueneme, CA. Retired July 31, 2003 as Branch Supervisor Photographer of Chief Naval Operations (CNO) NSWC Pt Hueneme. He departed this life on, March 19th, 2016. He leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving wife, Marilyn of seventeen years, three daughters, Cynthia, Tonya and Nadine Butler, two sons, Kevin and Elgin (Valerie) Butler all of Austin, TX. Three step-sons, Scott (Quiaunera) Lang of Downey, CA, James D. (Rebecca) Chambers IV, and Angelo McDougald of Oxnard, CA. Three brothers, Lloyd (Cheryl) of Killeen, TX, William of New Jersey, and Norris (Fredericka) Butler of Columbus, GA. His mother-in-law, Leola L. Samuel of Oxnard, CA. twenty-six grandchildren, eighteen great-grands, along with a host of family and friends.Public viewing will be on Friday, 01 April from 5 - 7 p.m., at Funeraria del angel Conrad-Carroll Funeral Home - 401 W. Channel Is Blvd, Oxnard, CA., and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at St Paul Baptist Church, 1777 Statham Blvd, Oxnard, with services commencing at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. 02 April 2016, Bishop B.A. Huggins officiating.
