Leona L. "Dot" Raffin1924 - 2014Leona L. "Dot" Raffin, 90, formerly of Kenosha, late of New Berlin, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Linden Grove in New Berlin.She was born on Jan. 11, 1924, to the late Peter and Marie (Bereni) Raffini in Pence, Wis. She was educated at St. James grade school, Lincoln Jr. High School and attended Mary D. Bradford High School.Leona was a homemaker and worked part time as a lunch lady at Frank Elementary, then for Walgreens and the McDonald's.Leona was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was in the Christian Mothers while living in Kenosha.Leona enjoyed arts and crafts, listening to music, camping, playing cards and loved to dance in her younger years. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.Leona is survived by her children, Suzanne (Marv) Waite-Powell of Bradenton, Fla., Wendy Waite of Fond du Lac, Wis., Libby (Jim) Wilcox of Lyons, Wis., Frank (Anne) Waite of Colliville, Tex., and David Waite Sr. of New Berlin; her sister, Jeanette Michele of Port Charlotte, Fla.; her eight grandchildren, and her five great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by a son Theodore; her sisters Mary Kovacic, Betty Freck, Marian Schmerling and Rose Quintana and her brothers, John, James, Dominic and Albert.Celebration of Life services for Leona will be held on Friday, Oct, 31, at 12 (noon) at the Bruch Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
