Leona RobbinsNASHPORT: Leona Robbins, 52, of Nashport, died at 10:47 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at Genesis-Good Samaritan Emergency Room. She was born on October 31, 1961 in El Paso, TX a daughter of the late George and Wanda Whirley.She was the activity director at the USO in Okinawa, Japan and was the activity director for the Muskingum County Senior Center. She also worked as an on-site supervisor for Kelly Services and as a floor shift supervisor at Anomatic Corp. in Newark. She was a devoted military wife, mother and grandmother.She is survived by her husband, John Robbins of the home; three children, John (Emily) Robbins of GA, Patricia Robbins (fiancée Benjamin Ortiz) of the home, and Floyd (Whitney) Robbins of Roseville; three grandchildren, Averie Robbins of GA, Landon and Leyna Robbins of Roseville; siblings, Jimmy Whitt, George Russell Whirley, Susan Nichols, Laura Romaine, Effie Bryne all of Indianapolis, IN, Mavis Harris and Regina Shepherd of Lexington, KY.She was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Shepherd, Frank Shepherd, and Robert Plasket.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2014 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Pastor George Russell Whirley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
