Leonard SmithPalm Coast, FLLeonard "Nathan" Smith, 76, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully in his wife's arms surrounded by his loving daughters on May 26, 2017. Nathan was born on March 19, 1941 in Greenville, SC. He was the son of the late Grace and Reverent Leonard Smith. He graduated from Berea High School in 1959. Nathan started his career in the financial industry and retired after 28 years as a real estate broker. Nathan was passionate about travelling in his motor coach, he loved experiencing new foods and wineries in the places he traveled. Nathan loved sports especially the Carolina Panthers, South Carolina Gamecocks and the Clemson Tigers rivalry. However, what he loved most of all was being with his family and spending time with his wife and best friend of 56 years. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there will be a trail of wonderful memories. Nathan was the heartbeat of our family and we will be forever blessed for having him in our lives. Nathan is survived by his wife, Becky Abbott Smith, daughters Lisa Smith Frye and Natalie Kaye Smith, son in law Eric Frye, grandson Hunter Frye and granddoggie Princess, one brother, Ralph Smith, sisters in law Glenda Fincher, Linda Smith, nieces, Bronnie, Theresa and Gwen. A memorial to celebrate Nathan's life will be held in Greenville, SC at a later date.
