Leonard Joseph Stein, age 80, was born on Feb. 29, 1932, and entered his eternal home on Dec. 4, 2012. He was a native and resident of Vacherie. Visitation will be from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.He is survived by his wife, Gloria Becnel Stein; his children, Fanny (Michael) Cranford, Corrine (Wayne) Breaud, Gert (Michael) Kliebert, and Angie (Don) McLaurin; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his loving dog, Bosco.He was preceded in death by his parents, Hypolite and Lelia Stein; brothers, Michel, Justin, Henry, Joseph, John, Roy, Carroll, Leo and Baby Stein; sisters, Augustine Becnel, Ann Zeringue and Therese Gravois.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to St. James ARC, 29150 Health Unit St., Vacherie, LA 70090 or St. Joseph Hospice, 103 Ridgefield Road, Thibodaux, LA 70301.
