LeRoy A. Hardy 1941 - 2016LeRoy A. Hardy, 75, of Springfield, passed away at 4:14 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.LeRoy was born on January 17, 1941 in Easton, IL, the son of Charles Robert and Mary Ellen Scamahorn Hardy. He married Linda Bushue on November 16, 2015 in Springfield.LeRoy graduated from LaHarpe High School, where he was a football and basketball letterman. He attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. LeRoy worked for Morton Buildings where he started as a crew member and advanced to sales manager. He was a member of West Side Christian Church, where he sang with The Faithful Men Choir. He enjoyed many activities including traveling, driving his motorcycle, boating, sports, hunting, dancing and mushroom hunting. He also loved to visit his home in Florida and was an avid Illini fan.LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and step-father.He is survived by his wife, Linda Hardy of Springfield; children, Susan Duke of Cantrall, Jeffrey (Lisa) Hardy of Blandinsville, Nancy (Glenn) Braker of New Berlin, and Sondra (Les) Jones of Apopka, FL; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Cindy Lash officiating.
