LeRoy J. Ross, 81, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on January 23, 1935 in Princeton, MO the son of Clell L. and Jessie L. (Swan) Ross, who preceded him in death.

On May 30, 1998 in La Monte, MO, he was united in marriage to Georgia Williams, who resides of the home.

LeRoy attended Maplewood Church, Sedalia. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, going to church, visiting with family and friends. LeRoy worked as an over the road truck driver for many years. After he retired from truck driving, he worked several different jobs including, driving the Sedalia OATS Bus and working at the West 50 Highway Auto Auction.

Besides his wife Georgia, he is also survived by a son, Darrel Ross of Marshall, MO; four step children, J.R. Jasper and his wife Linda of Boonville, Stephen Jasper of Humbolt, NE, Mark Jasper and his wife Belynda of Cole Camp and Sandy McInteer and her husband Mike of Sherwood Park, Canada; a brother, Don Ross and his wife Angie of Sweet Home, OR; three sisters, Debbie Cochenour and her husband Jim of Kidder, MO, Andrea Isom and her husband Bud of Blue Springs, MO, and Sandy Copple and her husband LaVern of Ludlow, MO; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Ross; a step daughter, Vivian Lang and a grandson at infancy.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Eddie Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO, with full military honors conducted by VFW Post #2591 and the Missouri Army National Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Maplewood Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
