Leslie Spell-McDuffie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on February 13, 2024, in Largo, Florida, United States. She was born on April 28, 1949, to Wilbert Spell and Angele Spell-Brown.
Leslie attended Andrew Jackson High SSchoolin Queens, N.Y. and graduated in 1967. She went on to pursue her studies at Bronx Community College, graduating in 1977.
After her education, Leslie embarked on a successful career at the Lawfirm of G. Gordon Liddy. She dedicated many years of hard work and commitment before retiring in 1990.
Leslie was proud of all of her accomplishments, but what she was most proud of all was being mother to her son Sean.
Aside from her professional life, Leslie had a number of passions and hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, gift wrapping, and crocheting. She found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands and sharing them with loved ones.
Leslie married to the late Gary McDuffie in 2005.
Leslie is preceeded in death by her parents Angele Spell-Brown, and Wilbert Spell Sr., Stepmothers Doris Griffin, and Ellen Spell. Brother Quenten Spell, 2 Sisters: Cheryl Hook, and LaVern Cobb, Brother-in-law, Walter Cobb.
Leslie leaves behind to cherish: Son Sean Spell, and daughter-in-law Kimberly Spell. 4 grandchildren: Seantè-Leah Spell, Tyseanah Spell, Trashena Chatman, grandson Dominique Chatman, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. 5 Brothers: Cliford Spell, Wilbert Spell Jr., Kirk Spell, Scott Spell, and William Brown. 2 Sisters: Lorraine Spell, and Dana Brown, Special friend Lester, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, other family, and friends.
Leslie will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, as well as her fierce dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.
