Leslie Wynne Carroll, age 72, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at home in Cumming. Leslie was born on Jan. 11, 1944 in Chicago, Ill., daughter of Gordon and Lois Jensen.Leslie had a love for travel, music, and trivia. During her life, she travelled extensively throughout North America and Europe, excited about seeing new places along the way. In addition, she sang in the choir at multiple churches and played in a handbell choir. Also, she was a rabid fan of the television show Jeopardy, rarely missing an episode.In 1968, Leslie married her best friend, John Carroll, and they lived for many years in Calumet City, Ill., and later in Lowell, Ind. Upon retirement, they moved to Minong, Wis. After John's passing in 2014, Leslie moved to Georgia to be close to family. She worked as an elementary school teacher, first in Chicago, and then in the south suburb of Lansing, Ill.Leslie is survived by her sister, Lynne (Ted) Cobb of Lake Villa, Ill.; son, Jay (Jennifer) Carroll of Suwanee; grandsons, William and Alexander Carroll; and numerous relatives and other close friends.There will be a memorial service for family and friends in Ingram Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.Ingram Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Sign our online guestbook at forsythnews.com.
