March 26, 1933 - March 25, 2013SOUTH BEND - Deacon Letoy C. Willis, 80, of South Bend, Indiana, departed this life on Monday, March 25, 2013, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 26, 1933, to the union of Rev. Martin and Louise Willis in Bolivar, Tennessee. Letoy was educated in Hardeman County Schools. He accepted Christ at an early age in Hardeman County, Bolivar, Tennessee. Later, he moved to South Bend and joined St. Paul Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he was a faithful member and served on the Deacon Board. He retired from AM General after 18 years of service. Letoy enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. ("We love and miss you, Grandaddy.") Some of his favorite pastimes were cooking, gardening and spending time with his family. He leaves to continue his legacy his sons: Rev. Antonio D. (Patricia) Willis I, Chandler L. (Reanan) Willis, both of South Bend, Indiana; daughter, Belinda Joyce Carson of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren: Deliá Willis, Chardé Willis, Antonio (Tifanii) Willis II, Chandler Willis Jr., Naomi Willis and Jamaal Willis; great-grandchildren: Anthony Brady Jr., Eric Hazelett, Aniah Brady, Jaise Willis and Jasyh Willis; brothers: Martin L. Willis, Elvis (Joyce) Willis, Jerry (Bonnie) Willis, all of South Bend, Indiana; sisters: Cleaster Kilgore of South Bend, Mamie Harvey and Mayola Carruthers, both of Memphis, Tennessee, Thelma Thomas of Bolivar, Tennessee, Brenda (Charles) Watkins and Clara Blanton, both of Columbus, Ohio; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, who will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Martin and Louise Willis; and by a brother, Paul Willis Sr. Funeral services for Deacon Letoy C. Willis will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013, at St. Paul Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 621 E. Lindsey Street, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and service at 12 noon.
