Letta Mae Watson, 83Muncie - Former Summitville resident Letta Mae Watson, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Elmcroft of Muncie following an extended illness.She was born on February 3, 1934 to Chester and Isabelle (Howard) Watson in Boone Township, Madison County, Indiana. She was a graduate of Gaston High School-Class of 1952. She worked for the Gaston Bank for 7 years and retired from Merchants Bank, now First Merchants Bank in Muncie in 1997 after a banking career spanning 45 years. She belonged to the card club in Applewood Villas in Muncie. She was a volunteer at the American Health Network and the RSVP, Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Letta was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching.She is survived by 3 nephews and 3 nieces-Larry (Sue) Richards-Summitville, Ron (Carol) Richards-Avon, Shirley (Terry) Riggins-Anderson, Darlene (Denny) Clevenger-Fairmount, Diana (Richard) Montgomery-Hartford City, Benny (Suzy) Watson-MarionSeveral great nephews, great nieces, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.She was preceded in death by a brother-Eugene (Vernice) Watson, 2 Sisters-Gathel (John) Richards and Annabelle (Herb) IceServices honoring Letta Mae's life and legacy will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the Owens-Noffze Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville with Dr. Joyce Thornton officiating.
