Lewis Evans, Sr., affectionately known as "Grandpa Lew", passed away on June 14, 2023, at the age of 73 in his hometown of Hempstead, Texas. Born on January 1, 1950, he lived a long and fulfilling life, and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

As a retiree, Grandpa Lew spent his days fishing, watching sports, and sharing countless stories with his grandchildren. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile, and could make anyone laugh with his jokes and antics.

When not spending time with family, Grandpa Lew enjoyed indulging in his favorite foods, especially barbecue and fried chicken. He was also an expert at grilling, and never missed an opportunity to showcase his skills to anyone who would listen.

Despite his love for leisure, Grandpa Lew was a dedicated family man who worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. He will be remembered for his unwavering support and guidance, and the many life lessons he imparted on those around him.

Grandpa Lew is survived by his wife of 50 years, three children, and six grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the many memories he created over the years.
