Lewis Thomas Jones II July 2, 1938 - November 25, 2016 Macon, GA- Lewis Thomas Jones II, 78 died in his home, surrounded by family on November 25, 2016. Lewis was born on July 2, 1938 in Houston County, GA to L.T. Jones and Georgia Mae Taylor. He attended Ada Banks Elementary School and Ballard Hudson High School. In 1955 he joined the United States Air Force. He married Barbara Ann Lewis in 1962, and the couple had two children. He worked for the US Department of Defense as a Flight Test Engineer at WR-ALC for over 30 years. Lewis is survived by his children, Rhonda Lynn (Wendell) Jones-Harden and Roderick Lewis (Janet) Jones, his grandchildren, Breanah Symone Evans, Raelen Jaz Jones and Morgan Sharese' Harden, his sister, Tina J. Pouncy and a devoted friend Mrs. Ruby T. Green. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Jones, his parents, L.T. Jones and Georgia T. Jones and his brother-in-law Philip J. Pouncy. Lewis passed away peacefully, after an extended battle with colorectal cancer. He will be remembered as a car enthusiast, for his dapper appearance and the love of his family most of all. Visitation is scheduled at 6pm on November 29, 2016 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled at 12pm on November 30, 2016 at New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.
