Lia Teruko HayashiOxnardLia Teruko Hayashi, 46, passed away on July 21, 2017, in Oxnard, Ca. Lia was born on October 17, 1970, at St. John's Hospital, Oxnard, Ca. and continued to reside in Oxnard. She graduated from Oxnard High School in 1988 and started working in the escrow business but soon realized sitting at a desk was not for her. Lia always had a love for animals and eventually pursued a career as a Veterinarian Technician. She loved it whenever she had an opportunity to work with the local wildlife. She did volunteer work up in Santa Barbara which she found very rewarding. Throughout her career she was always reaching out to help others with their pets. She had an enormous knowledge and feel for solutions, that people were always grateful for. This became a doorway in meeting and befriending people in her life. Lia loved water skiing. She learned at a very young age and was always so graceful, a real natural. Actually, she was the same with snow skiing, but water skiing was her love. Lia was known for her ability to be very natural and earthy, then could turn around and look like she was going to walk a red carpet. She had a number of wonderful opportunities wherein she was able to travel to Europe several times and loved every minute of it. She is survived by her parents Calvin and Jackie Hayashi; her brother, Todd (Naomi) Hayashi; nephews Kaemon and Gavin Hayashi; her aunt Lynette (Bob) Gage; uncles Gerald and Ernest Hayashi; cousins Sherri Osako, Rick Osako, Erica (Alfred) Tarazon, Michelle, Richard and Jason Aribizu, Lisa and Greg Davis, Nannette (Jerry) Conradi, Shara (Carl) Holder and Pam Dorsey, AND most importantly her loving dog "Maisy". A Celebration of Life will be announced in the near future.
