Lillian D. Korbel1921 - 2013 Lillian D. Korbel, 92, of Kenosha passed away on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at the Canterbury Home with her loving family by her side. Lillian was born on March 24, 1921, in Kenosha to Charles and Dagmar (Jensen) Bernhardt and she was educated in the schools of Kenosha. She married Joseph Korbel on June 25, 1946 in Kenosha. Lillian in her early years was employed with Jockey International. She was a member of the Danish Sisterhood and St. Marys Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking sewing and all of her dogs throughout the years. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband, Joseph in 1980; and her brother, Rudolph Bernhardt.Lillian is survived by, three children, Carol Gallegos of Scottsdale, Ariz., Barbara (William) Steinseifer of Kenosha and Joseph (Amy) Korbel of Rice Lake; six grandchildren, Bryan, Craig, Kara, Kristin, Kimberly and Joey; five great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Dolores Korbel; her cousin, Olga Pershing; as well as other family and friends.In accordance with Lillians wishes funeral services will be private.
