Lillian Loo BattersonLEWIS CENTER: Lillian Loo Batterson, a long-time resident of the Lewis Center area, died Wednesday the 10th of May at her son's home in Columbus, Ohio.Lillian was born on April 20, 1936 in Ashland, OH to Kathryn Trumpower and Bill Batterson. Lillian graduated from Washington High School in Fremont, California, where she made many life-long friends and returned every five years to attend her high school reunions. After high school, Lillian returned to Ohio to work as an operator at Ohio Bell, now known as AT&T. She retired from this role, once again with many friendships that stayed with her for her life time. Other than "mommy" and "daddy", "kitty" and "doggy" were Lillian's first words. Lillian loved animals and always had a furry friend by her side. She enjoyed going to movies with her grandson, Elian, and she always had extra crackers on hand to give to her grandsons on a moment's notice. Lillian loved to give gifts and write handwritten letters to those she loved. She was a loyal friend with a compassionate and generous heart. Lillian is survived by her son, Jason (Abbey) Jarvis and grandsons, Elian and Benson Jarvis. Also surviving are her siblings, Bernadette Batterson, Esther (Tom) Mello, Toni (Wayne) Flora and Richard Jackson as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her sister Judy Jackson and brother, Bill Batterson.
