Lillie Mae Cole (Barker) was born in August 10, 1931 in Panama City, FL to her parents John and Pinky Cole. She graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in Elementary Education in 1954. She married her husband John Cole (Deceased) in 1955. The Cole’s moved the Brooklyn where John worked as a fisherman and Lillie worked at various elementary school boards throughout Brooklyn. She retired in 2001 and dedicated her remaining time to educating and caring for her grandchildren. Lillie also was a great Sunday school teacher at Holiness Church of the Lamb in Jamaica Queens, NY where she served faithfully as a member until her final rest.

Lillie died in her home on June 15, 2020 in Brooklyn, NY. Due to complications from Covid-19.

Lillie Mae Cole is survived by her Children Janice Smith, Nicki Cole , Carolyn Cole and Rashon Laney. A host of grandchildren Tyreek Cole, Christian Cole, Leana Williams, Derrick Willmore, Cassandra Bullock. As well as 6 great grandchildren. She is Preceded in death by her husband John Robert Cole; her sister, Betty Williams; and one son, John Roberts Jr.  

 

Mrs. Cole will be laid to rest in Wiker Hall Cemetery in Panama City,Fl. Immediately  following funeral service!
