Lillie Spedale Pontello1922-2016Lillie Spedale Pontello, a lifelong resident of Houston, passed into the arms of Jesus, on September 4, 2016. Lillie was born on October 20, 1922, to parents, Pete and Mary Grace Spedale. She attended Cypress-Fairbanks High School and The University of Houston.For forty plus years, Lillie worked at Foley Brothers, where she was the Administrative Executive in charge of Legal Documents and Disbursements.One of Lillie's greatest enjoyments of her life was teaching Ballroom Dancing at Stevens Dance Studio. There she made a great number of lifelong friends and participated in many dance competitions. Beautiful of face and form, and wearing exquisite costumes she designed herself, she and her partners won many awards. In 1971, Lillie married her "Sweetheart," Louis A. Pontello ,Jr. Together they enjoyed traveling, dancing, gardening and most of all, spending time with their grandchildren who were the light of their lives.Lillie is preceded in death by her husband, Louis A .Pontello Jr., her precious grandson, Jack Bowman, her parents, brother, Angelo Spedale, two sisters, Theresa Spedale and Angie Tortorici and husband, Paul,Sr.Survivors include brother Anthony Spedale and wife Patsy, stepdaughters Diane Pontello Boyd and husband Dennis, Barbara Conaway Cook and husband David, Susan Pontello Bowman and husband Henry, nephews, Carl Tortorici and wife Cheryl, Paul Tortorici,Jr., and niece Marlisa Duhon and husband Jay, Angelo Spedale, Jr and wife Peggy, Greg Spedale and numerous nieces and nephews.Her beloved grandchildren include Court Conaway, Brett Berly and wife Dawn, Paige Kinnett, Blake Conaway and Blair Bowman. Lillie was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Cash Louis Kinnett and Zane Thomas Berly.Pallbearers are Brett Berly, Court Conaway, Angelo Spedale, Sr., Greg Spedale, Carl Tortorici and Paul Tortorici, Jr. Visitation will be September 9,2016 at 11:30a.m. and scripture reading at 12:30p.m. , at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway,77079.
