Lily Jean Campbell was born in Harlan, Kentucky on November 1, 1959 to Rose Mae and James Otto Miracle. Lily married and began raising 3 loving daughters in Dayton, Ohio. She later divorced and moved to Houston, Texas in 1984. In May of 2017 she married Bryan Dwayne Lewis in Montgomery, Texas.
First and foremost, Lily adored her family. She was the matriarch of the family and kept us together. Other than her love and zest for life, she enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren, music, dancing, family celebrations, decorating (especially during the holidays), as well as collecting Precious Moments’ angels and various knickknacks. She was very strong which helped her with her almost 10-year fight of battling cancer. Even with her strong will to live, her body wasn’t able to fight any longer. She quietly departed this life on Sunday , December 13. 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Rose Mae and James Otto Miracle; sisters Margaret Ann Applegate Austin, Carolyn Sue Baker Hudson and Mary Elsie Baker Dalton; and brother Roy Lee Baker.
Her beautiful life will forever be remembered and cherished in the lives of husband Bryan; daughters Dawn Renee (Patrick), Angela Lynn Leach (James) and Regina Lee Kasper (Charles); sister Kathy Miracle Thomas; brothers Ray William Baker, Edison Joseph Applegate, James Miracle and Darrell Miracle; grandchildren Danielle Renee Mouhot (Clint), Tabitha Lynn Campbell, Anthony Keith Campbell (Faith Ashley Paige Robinson), Hailey Marie Campbell and Dylan Keoni Leach; great grandchildren Erynn Michelle Campbell, Alyvia Marie Mouhot and Everleigh Rayne Campbell; stepdaughter Leslie Owen (Bobby); step grandchildren James Christopher Kalani Leach and Haley Singletery (Shawn); step great grandchild Alaia Mae Singletery; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her family was everything to her.
With sadness in our hearts and joy in our spirits, we say “Love You to the Moon and Back”. We will always love you and you will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. We ask for strength, understanding and guidance, for we know that she is at peace.
