Lina (Sipusi) Talili Asi Naea, 73, passed away on Nov. 11, 2016, at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. Lina was born on Nov. 1, 1943, in Vailoatai, American Samoa.Family visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage. A celebration in Honor of "The Home going" of Lina Talili Asi Naea will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, with a viewing starting at 10 a.m. and a service to follow at 11 a.m. at First Covenant Church, 1145 C Street in Anchorage. Lina will be laid to rest at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.She was survived by her husband, Fia Samoa Naea; son, Faaaoga Billy and Vernice Ena; daughter, Arasi and Marshall Powell; son, Anamani Naea; son, Tafatolu Naea; son, Ruddy Jesse and Ula Naea; son, Alfredo Naea; son, Tu'ulima and Sandralynn "Sela" Naea; Aliitu Talili, Alesana Talili; Bringham Talili; and Isapela Ta'avale Nu'usila; 40 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Vaueli Asi; brother, Keli Tipa; sister, Taoso Asi Maeva; sister, Utumalama Tipa Rhode; and sister, Julie (Si'uli) Talili Lavata'i.She was preceded in death by her son, Samoa Naea Jr.; brother, Fa'ausu Filiva'a Asi; brother, Su'emalo (Taeoso) Mene Talili; brother, Tu'ulima Filemu Talili; brother, Asotau Talili; brother, Leaali'ituMalagamaali'i Talili; brother, Bringham Talili; and sister, Fagogo Tipa Faumuina.A beautiful garden now stands alone, missing the one who nurtured it. Now she is gone. Her flowers still bloom, and the sun still shines, but the rain is like tear drops, for the ones left behind.Arrangements are with Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
