Lincoln Parker StantonVERO BEACH, FLLincoln Parker Stanton 82, of Vero Beach, Florida died Saturday October 15, 2016 at Indian River Memorial Center. Link, as he was known, was born on October 1, 1934 in Melrose, Massachusetts to parents, Frank P. Stanton and Helen R. Arnold Stanton. He had been a resident of Vero Beach, Florida for 46 years moving from Natick, Massachusetts. Link served in the United States Air Force from 1953 through 1957 achieving the rank of Airman First Class. Stanton graduated from Burdett College with an accounting major. Survivors include wife Wilma Brunner Stanton, four children: Robin Jenkins (husband Bruce), Susan Denny both of Tallahassee, Florida, Keith Stanton (wife Laura) of Vero Beach, and Kent Stanton (wife Jamie) of Stuart, Florida, four step children: Kenny Brunner, Jacqueline Sapp both of Vero Beach, Florida, Suzie Lambing of Buckingham, Pennsylvania and Richie Brunner of Lake Worth, Florida, two sisters: Arna Blum of London, England, Susan Coleman, of Papillion, Nebraska and one brother, Eric Stanton of Owosso, Michigan, four grandchildren: Tara Saindon, Samuel Denny, Esther Stanton, Jordan Stanton, and five step-grandchildren: Phillip, Brooke, Kristian, James, and Chloe, five great-grandchildren: Humility, Joseph, Heidi, Emmeline and Cora Saindon.Link married the late Nadine Schneider on October 15, 1955 until her death on November 18, 2006. He was employed by the Los Angeles Dodgers for over 26 years as comptroller. Link was a Senator in the Jaycees and belonged to both the FSU Seminoles and Vero Beach High School Booster Club. Link was gregarious in nature and loved life and most everybody he met. Link liked to spend time with his family and church congregation. Stanton was an accomplished bowler and loved sports, especially football.Services will be held on November 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Vero Christian Church, 3250 Oslo Road, Vero Beach, Florida 32968.
