Linda Wade, age 72, of Lufkin, Texas, passed away on December 13, 2025. She was born on December 25, 1952, to Wesley "Bo" Washington and Elree Hicks Washington.

Linda was a dedicated employee of Temple-Inland for many years, where she was known for her hard work and reliability. She will be remembered most for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and profound love for her family.

More than anything, Linda was the steadfast anchor and the unifying force of our family. She was truly the glue that held us together, possessing a rare gift for ensuring that no matter how busy life became, we always found our way back to one another. Whether through constant nurturing, the comfort of her wonderful cooking, or her dedicated commitment to those weekly phone calls that kept everyone connected, Linda was the heart and soul of our shared life. She leaves behind a legacy of closeness and unbreakable bonds that will continue to honor her memory.

Linda is survived by her loving children: Wesley Dodd and his wife, Shelia, of Columbia, SC; and Courtney Dodd of Hudson. She is also survived by her two cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Dodd and Valerie Dodd. Her memory will be carried on by her siblings: brothers Larry Washington and Tommy Washington of Hemphill, and Rickey Washington and his wife, Paulette, of Shelbyville; and sisters Edna Tutt and Elma Washington, both of Lufkin. She also leaves behind her nephews, Corey Tutt and Stedman Edwards of Lufkin, along with a host of extended family and friends.
