MOREHEAD, Ky. — Linda L. Lewis Cosby, 64, of Morehead died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Mrs. Cosby was a graduate of East Noble High School in Kendallville, Indiana, and briefly attended Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, during the 1990s. Her father's employment had relocated the family to Kendallville from their previous residence in Ypsilanti, Michigan. For many years, she worked as a nurse at a nursing home in LaGrange, Indiana. Mrs. Cosby was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Morehead. She was born on Oct. 29, 1951, in Elliottville, Kentucky, to Laura Ramey Lewis and Lencil Eugene Lewis. Survivors include her mother, Laura Ramey Lewis of Morehead; her husband, David Cosby of Morehead; a daughter, Tammy (Eddie) Toy of Morehead; a son, Brandon (Rebecca) Cosby of Lexington; a sister, Pamela (Mackie) Manns of Albion, Indiana; a brother, Donald Lewis of Elliottville; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; one child; and a sister-in-law, Tonia Conn Lewis. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 5, 2016 at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with the Rev. Robert Kidd officiating. Burial was in the Williams-Turner Cemetery at Elliottville. Pallbearers were Clay Gillum, Matthew Lewis, Justin Sloan, Dakota Manns, Ricky Manns, and Eddie Toy.
