Rev. Linda D. JohnsonAge: 71 • StauntonRev. Linda Dale Johnson, 71, of Staunton, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Kings Daughters Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Linda was born on January 14, 1946 in Chester, Virginia, a daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Annie Cleo (Coffey) Johnson.Linda was formerly the Minister of the Grottoes Church of God, past member of the Staunton Church of God and was currently a member of the Calvary Assembly of God. She was a wonderful Evangelist, read the Bible daily, taught God's word, and lived each day living and doing the work of our Lord and Savior. "She lived her entire life for the day when she would meet her Heavenly Father."In addition to her parents, Rev. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Theodore Johnson; and a special nephew, David Lee Johnson.Surviving is a brother, Alfred Lee Johnson and his wife Elizabeth of Waynesboro; five sisters, Irene Lawhorne of Fishersville, Geneva Asbury of Martinsburg, WV, Donna Swisher and her husband Jack, Dorothy Arey and her husband Ed, and Marie Hartman and husband Paul, Sr., all of Staunton; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Teresa Hall and Loretta Boggs also survive.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kevin Persinger, former Pastor Gregory Miller and memories of life by Rev. Jonathan Mark King.Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Memory Gardens.Active pallbearers will be Steven Lawhorne, Jeff Asbury, Mikle Asbury, Lino Dagostino, Paul Hartman, Jr., and Terry Hall.It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Calvary Assembly of God, 1516 Springhill Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401.Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at
