Linda Swan, a steadfast servant of Jehovah and cherished member of her spiritual community, was called to rest on June 19, 2024, at the age of 73, in her hometown of Saginaw, MI. Born on September 14, 1950, Linda walked a path of faith, humility, and love, touching the lives of many with her unwavering commitment to the principles of respect, compassion, and gratitude for all of Jehovah's creation.
She lived her life in the light of Psalm 37:29: “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it,” and her legacy is a reflection of this scripture's profound promise. Linda’s gentle spirit and dedication to her beliefs were an inspiration to those around her. Her example of piety, her selfless devotion to her family, and her contribution to the congregation as a devoted Jehovah’s Witness will forever be cherished and emulated.
She is survived by a lineage of love and faith, including her three grandchildren, Melissa Haistings, John Gould, Jeff Gould, and her four great-grandchildren, Kayla Gould, Travis Gould, Kassi Lewis, and Jessica Blaisdell.Linda also leaves behind three precious great-great-grandchildren, Izzabella Taylor, Alyiah Stringer, and Harper Stringer, who will continue to be guided by her enduring spirit. Her beloved husband, David Swan, preceded her in death,as well as her mother Dalpha and it brings comfort to the family to envision them reunited in Jehovah's memory.
In accordance with her deep faith and the hope of the resurrection, a memorial service to celebrate her life and to honor her memory will be scheduled at a future date. The family expresses immense gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of reflection and invites all who knew Linda to join in commemorating a life so beautifully lived, a soul so profoundly loved, and a faith so unshakeably held.
Linda’s journey was one of grace and virtue, and as she soars on the wings of eternity, we are reminded of the precious transient nature of our time here on earth and the enduring love of our Heavenly Father. She will be profoundly missed, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she rests in the peace of our Creator, awaiting the promised resurrection when we shall all meet again.
