Linda Edith DreilingSimi Valley, CALinda E. Dreiling, age 78 of Oshkosh, formerly of Simi Valley, CA passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017, surrounded with the love of her children and her beloved cat, "Jack".Linda was born on August 30, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN. She moved to Long Beach, CA where she met and married Arlen Dreiling on April 20, 1963.She touched many lives helping people in need as a social service worker for the Salvation Army. Linda retired from her position after 20 years.Linda was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her love of facts, and knowledge of all things trivia.Linda is survived by her three children, Christopher Dreiling of Santa Clarita, CA., Leslie Karr of Berlin, Stephanie (David) Hempel of Berlin; grandchildren, Emily Hempel, Allison Hempel, Timothy Hempel, Daniel Karr, Nicholas Karr, all of Berlin, and Andrew Karr of Oshkosh; brothers, William Risley and Walter (Jane) Risley of Indiana; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.She was preceded in death by her wonderful loving husband, Arlen Dreiling and her brother Jack Risley.A small family gathering was held at her home in her honor.A private family inurnment will be held on the date of her wedding anniversary in the Oakwood Cemetery of Berlin.Gone yet not forgottenAlthough we are apartYour spirit lives within meForever in my heartWiecki-Skipchak Funeral HomeBerlin, WI 54923(920) [email protected]
