Linda J. TerMaatPEORIA - Linda J. TerMaat, mother, sister and aunt, of Peoria, passed away at her home, surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, October 28, 2016, at 10:40 p.m. She was born on May 6, 1942, in East Peoria to Elmer and Lola Marts White. She married her best friend, Charles TerMaat, in Peoria in 1962. He preceded her in death in 2009 in Colorado. She was also preceded in death by her parents.She is survived by one daughter, Tonya (Jeff) Barber of Aurora, CO; one son, Vance (Denise) TerMaat of Bartonville, IL; one granddaughter, Adyson TerMaat; six grandsons, Zac and Josh Fiddes and Jake, Nick, Brett and Dylan Barber; two sisters, Sandra (Wally) Heggemeier and Susan (Dominic) Ingolia; a sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Slater; her loving partner of 5 years, Carl Miller; and many nieces and nephews.Linda will forever be remembered for the way she made everyone feel special and her infectious laugh.Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a memorial tribute at 6 p.m., at Sunnyland #1 Stop, 2466 Washington Rd., Sunnyland, IL.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an educational fund for her grandchildren at Cefcu.
