It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Chaisson, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Linda left this world peacefully on September 29, 2023, in Toronto, Ontario, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.
Linda was born on January 5, 1950, in Toronto, Ontario, to the late Robert and Margaret Chaisson. She was the second of three children and grew up in a loving and supportive family environment. From an early age, Linda exhibited a kind and compassionate nature, always looking out for others and going above and beyond to lend a helping hand.
After completing her education, Linda embarked on a successful career in nursing, driven by her desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. Her nurturing and caring nature made her an exceptional healthcare professional, and she touched the lives of numerous patients throughout her career.
Linda's dedication to her work was only matched by her devotion to her family. She married the love of her life, Ivan Chaisson, in 1972, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. Their union was blessed with three children, Jennifer, Tracy and Nicole who were the centre of Linda's world.
Linda was a remarkable mother, always putting her children's needs before her own. She provided them with unwavering support, encouragement, and love, shaping them into the incredible individuals they are today. Linda's warm hugs, kind words, and selfless actions will forever be etched in their hearts.
Linda had a zest for life and embraced every opportunity to explore the world. She had a deep appreciation for nature and often found solace in gardening and long walks in the park. Her love for travel took her to various destinations, immersing herself in different cultures and creating lasting memories.
Although the world has lost a truly remarkable soul, Linda's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband,Ivan Chaisson; her children, Tracy(Terry) Jennifer(Brian) and Nicole; her siblings, Robert Chaisson Jr. and Susan Davis; and grandchildren Victoria Chaisson, Alexis Groulx, Lucy Chaisson, Gerard Chaisson. And 8 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
A private celebration of Linda's life will be held on October 3, 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada in Linda's memory.
