Linda Jean WayMidlandLinda Jean Way was born on July 30, 1942, in Texon, Texas, to Doris Pembrook Way and Lacy D. Way. She went to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 27, 2017.Linda grew up on a ranch in Texon, Texas and attended school at Texon and Big Lake, graduating from Reagan County High School in 1960. Following graduation, Linda worked in the Reagan County Courthouse and abstract office and later moved to San Angelo, where she lived until moving to Midland in the early 1990s. Linda married and raised her son in San Angelo, where she enjoyed a large group of friends and an active social life. She has always relished visiting with family and friends, discussing politics and religion, reading and travel. The decline in her health the last few years has limited her interaction with those she loved.Linda Jean Way, 74, passed away at Manor Park Retirement Home in Midland, Texas. She had lived in Midland since the early 1990s.She is survived by her son, Ronnie Lee Milford of San Angelo, Texas; and her four beloved grandchildren, Hannah Lee Ann Milford, Tyler Lee Milford, Seth Ray Milford and Lauren Kirsten Milford, all of San Angelo. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Bill Schneemann ( Phillip, Laurie, Dan) of Big Lake; brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Ann Way of Midland (Karen, Karol Ann, Kathryn, Kristi and Kim); brother and sister-in-law Richard and Sue Way of San Angelo (Rhiana, Lacy, Dan, Tara); and numerous nieces and nephews that were all special to her.Linda was grateful for her friend and assistant, Amy Cook and her caregivers, Courtney Trice, Madison Butcher, Destiny Stanton and Kay Boggs, as well as the staff at Manor Park, Dr. Ganta and Hospice. Linda's family would also like to express their gratitude to Amy for her loving dedication to Linda.Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Lacy Way; and her grandparents, Ralph and Laura Pembrook and Lacy F. and Helen Way.Graveside service is at 3 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, in Glenrest Cemetery in Big Lake.
