Linda Krattler Prickett, of Kingwood, TX, age 65, died peacefully, with her husband, Richard Prickett, by her side at Odyssey Hospice Hospital on Friday, April 27th.
Linda was born on December 7, 1946, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to the late Gilbert and Ruth Krattler. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1968 with high honors, earning a bachelor's degree in teaching and special education. Soon after graduation, Linda and Richard married and began the first of their 43 years together. She was a Special Education teacher, an avid tennis player, and had a great sense of humor. Linda loved all animals, especially her dog and cats. Surviving a 1975 diagnosis of terminal brain cancer was the first of many times Linda proved the doctors wrong. It was her Episcopalian roots that held her strong.
Linda is survived by her spouse; her only child, Sandi Prickett Tampa (Seattle, WA); her son-in-law, Robert Tampa; her two beloved grandsons Gavin and Ethan Tampa; and her sister-in-law, Miriam David. Linda was predeceased by her sister, Kathryn Krattler Hart, and her parents.
