Linda was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a heart of gold and a zest for life that was contagious. Her warm smile and infectious laughter brightened any room she entered.
Linda was born and raised in Indiana Colony, where she established deep roots and cherished relationships. She graduated from Indiana Colony High School in 1967, where she excelled both academically and socially. After graduation, Linda attended the University of California, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. She was passionate about teaching and spent the early years of her career as an elementary school teacher, shaping the minds of countless students who would remember her kindness and dedication for years to come.
In 1975, Linda married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Right. Together, they created a loving family and built a beautiful life together. Linda and Thomas were married for forty-eight wonderful years, and their love grew stronger with each passing day. They were true partners in every sense of the word, supporting each other through the highs and lows, always with unwavering devotion.
Linda had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for nature. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it be gardening in her backyard or hiking in the beautiful mountains that surrounded Indiana Colony. She had a green thumb and could turn any patch of soil into a vibrant oasis. Linda loved cultivating her own vegetables and would often share her harvest with friends and neighbors.
Family was the center of Linda's life, and she adored her role as a mother and grandmother. She raised two loving and successful children, Sarah and Michael, who were her pride and joy. Linda selflessly dedicated herself to providing a nurturing and supportive home for her children, ensuring they had every opportunity to succeed. Her love for them was boundless.
Linda's greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Right; her children, Sarah (David) Thompson and Michael (Jennifer) Right; her grandchildren, Emily and Benjamin; and a large extended family.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on September 10, 2023 at Indiana Colony Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Linda's honor to the local children's hospital, an organization close to her heart.
