Linda P. Knight, 96 was called home on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was born on June 5, 1920 in Colorado City, TX and moved to El Paso in 1939 where she became a life-long resident. Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband; Jacob W. Knight, daughter; Mary Lou Rangel, 7 brothers, a half brother, and a half sister. She is survived by her sons; Richard Garrett, Salvador Knight, Jacob W. Knight Jr., daughters; Virginia Duran, Mary Hinojosa, 16 grand children, 29 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren, three half brothers, and two half sisters. Linda devoted her life to teaching her children strong morals and hard work. She intrigued everyone with her amazing stories and captured their hearts with her loving, child-like spirit. Linda always loved looking her best, which led her to become a Mary Kay consultant. She was also very passionate about fitness and was an avid walker. She even enjoyed climbing stadiums. Linda had an unconditional love for children, so much so, that she was put in charge of the daycare at her church and devoted herself to caring and loving the children as her own. Linda had an immense and profound love for her family. She committed herself to praying for them and strived to "seek those that are lost". Above all, Linda was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power, strength, and love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She leaves a legacy of incredible love and faith. "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13 A visitation will be from 2:00 ~ 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Interment to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Linda was full of life and joy, therefore, her family requests everyone to wear bright, colorful clothing.
