Linda Kaye Burris Lawson, 76, of Boonville passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem surrounded by her loving family. Kaye was born on September 11, 1940 in Stanly County to the late Minnie Belle Futrell Burris and the late Van Buren Burris. She attended the First Reformed Church in Landis with her family. She was of the Christian faith. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the North Carolina Highway Patrol Auxiliary. Kaye enjoyed the beach and loved sunflowers. Her passion was feeding the birds, especially the hummingbirds and cardinals. In addition to her parents, Minnie Belle Futrell Burris and Van Buren Burris, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Jimmy Fisher and Kenneth Starnes, and great-nephew Samuel Burleyson, Father and mother in-law, Robert & Evelyn Lawson. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert Lawson of Boonville; children: Linda DeLette Gobble Rowe of Salisbury, Charles Benjamin Chip Gobble (Jamie) of Landis, David Bryan Gobble (Wendy) of Salisbury, Michael Carlton Lawson (Michelle) of Claudeville, VA, Gina Denise Boyette (Jordan) of Westfield, Amy Nicole Barnes (Kenny) of Westfield; brother: Richard Burris of China Grove; sisters: Loretta Burris Burleyson of China Grove, Dianne Burris Starnes Middleton (Gordon) of Winston Salem and Sherry Burris Fisher of Salisbury, sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Kaye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend that will be greatly missed by all. Visitation: 1:00 P.M. 3:00 P.M., Sunday, November 27 at First Reformed Church, 210 N Central Avenue, Landis, NC 28088. Services: 3:00 P.M., Sunday, November 27 at First Reformed Church with the Rev. David Franks officiating. Entombment will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
