Linda Lee ReedLinda Lee Reed, 75, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016. She was the beloved wife and best friend of Adren J. Reed, Jr. for 51 years. In addition to her husband, Linda also leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Raquel and Tim Hamm, her sister, Joyce Enis, nieces, nephews and her grand-dogs, Maggie and Woody.Linda was born on September 21, 1941 in Denton, Texas. She was the daughter of Harlen "Cap" McNatt and Ethel "Beady" McNatt. Linda grew up in Denton in what she described as the best decade; the 1950s. She loved Denton being a small town and often told stories of sock hops, dancing at school during lunch and not being able to do anything wrong because everyone knew who you were and would tell your parents. She married the love of her life, Adren, on June 4, 1965. She worked at Collins Radio in Dallas and Victor Equipment in Denton. She was also the Vice Principal's assistant at Strickland Jr. High where she loved the many students that she helped through school. She also worked as a commercial lines insurance underwriter and enjoyed working with her many customers.Linda had a joy for life, an energetic spirit and a loving personality. She enjoyed playing golf, sewing and spending time with her family. Her family was the most important part of her life. She also had a strong Christian faith that never wavered.Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Denton, Texas, from 5:00-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.
