Linda Lee Thacker, 73, passed from this life on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her residence in Martinsville. Her life began on Thursday, December 1, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Linda was one of three daughters born to the late Virgil E. and Betty P. (Hill) Paul.

She spent her life in Martinsville and graduated from Martinsville High School. Linda was a loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She had worked for several years at Wendy’s in Martinsville, prior to her failing health. Though her medical disabilities didn’t allow her to do many of the things she once enjoyed, she still took great pleasure in growing plants, thrifting and her cats.

Her unexpected passing has left her loved ones clinging to cherished memories including her son, Greg (wife, Ninna) Thacker of Martinsville; two sisters, Ruth (husband, Tom) Richardson of Greenwood, IN, and Tammy (husband, James) Voss of Florida; seven beloved grandchildren, Joyce, Scott, Emily and Abbrianna Thacker, Ronald and Angel Kent and Nate Moore; and two special great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Mindy Thacker.

In honoring Linda’s wishes, she will be cremated, and her family will be celebrating her life with a private service. Her final arrangements have been entrusted to Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville.
