Linda Lou BushNEWARK: A funeral service celebrating the life of Linda Lou Bush, age 73, of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Ron Hock officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.Linda passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio) after a long and valiant battle with cancer. She was born on February 21, 1944 to the late Charles O. and Ellen (Schultz) Ringhiser.Linda loved to play cards, listen to "the oldies", take walks and most of all spend time with her family. She graduated from Logan High School (class of 1962). Linda spent many years as a nurse's aide at the Heath Nursing and Care Center from where she retired.She was loved and cherished by all who knew her, often being referred to as an "angel on earth".She is survived by her son, Robert L. "Bobby" (Rhoda) Bush of Newark; a daughter, Rebecca Compston of Newark; five grandchildren, Doug (Twana) McKitrick, Candy (Jeff) Slocum, Tiffany Rauch, Tosha Rehart, and Tony Worth; three brothers, Robert (Judy) Ringhiser, Harold Ringhiser, Dale Ringhiser; three sisters, Evelyn Brady, Carol (Ed) Donham and Dolores Ringhiser Azbell; sister-in- law, Pauline Bush; eighteen great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews; and many who knew her as "Grandma Linda"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest brother, Roger Ringhiser.Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at The Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's name to the Foundation for Hospice, Post Office Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058.
