Linda Brodie, 69, of Wendell, North Carolina, passed away after a long illness, on Friday, January 24, 2020. Linda was born on May 11, 1950 to Lawrence Pearce and Maggie Thorpe. She was lovingly raised in the home of her stepfather, Charles S Robertson.

Linda attended Cooper High in Clayton, NC and later pursued several certifications in secretarial work and received a degree from Johnston Community College. She married George T Brodie, and they lived together in Zebulon, NC until his passing.

Linda served countless years as a secretary at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church and assisted the Johnston Baptist Association. In 1998 she was honored with an award from the Johnston Baptist Association.
For over 50 years, Linda was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people and her community.

Linda is survived by 2 children: Cormalita Uzzell and Shawn Williams. She also is survived by 7 grandchildren: Shania, Destiny, Raquan, Kendall,Za'niya, India, & Shawn Jr. (Williams); brother Carl R Robertson (Frances) of Zebulon, NC; aunt Flora Ann O'Neal of Maryland; nieces: Anastasia Dennis (Clifford) of Wendell, NC, Fallon Robertson of Selma, NC and Kristal Atkinson, honorary, of Selma NC, and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
