We are saddened to announce the passing of Lisa D. Perkinson, born on December 14, 1965, in Chester, Virginia, United States. Lisa passed away on June 1, 2024, after a courageous battle with Gastric Cancer. Lisa battled for one year and 8 months and with every setback she never gave up.
Lisa was the daughter of the late Donald L. Bannister. She was loved and raised by the late Richard A. Moore Sr. She is survived by her mother Carol S. Moore, spouse P. Rodney Perkinson, two children, Justin R. Wells and Meagan R. Robinson (spouse Zachary G. Robinson), and four adoring grandchildren Ayden Gutshall, Kinsley Atristain, Kaylee & Skylar Robinson, brothers Eddie Angel & wife (Beth), Randall Moore & wife (Ann), Richard Moore Jr. & wife (Sondra) and special friends Debbie Wicker, Donna Sheffield, Tracy Burke, Timothy Journey, Buck Burcham & The Village of Matoaca.
Lisa attended Matoaca High School, graduating in 1984, she worked during her life as a book keeper. Lisa's moto was "Life's too short," she loved to travel, chase sunsets, spend time with her children & grandchildren, and nurturing her many hidden talents. There was never a new talent she couldn't figure out how to complete, with the help of YouTube of course.
Lisa will be remembered for her infectious laughter, unbelievable strength, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family will receive friends for her service Friday June 7th at 6pm, Ocran United Methodist Church in Sutherland, Va.
