Lisa Michele Puddy Obituary

Feb 28, 1955 - Jan 09, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Lisa Michele Puddy of Seattle passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024. She was the oldest of 4 children, born to Lavern Puddy and Frances (Creswell) Puddy on February 28, 1955 in Omaha, Nebraska on the Offutt Air Force Base. Lisa called Seattle home for 67 years, attending Queen Anne High School, and then Burnley School of Professional Art.

Lisa spent the remainder of her professional career assisting her parents in managing their numerous apartment buildings on Queen Anne and Magnolia.

Lisa’s greatest joy was raising her 2 daughters and 2 sons. Lisa’s undeniable love, encouragement, and support of her children was never in short supply. Lisa was also known for welcoming all into her home where they could find the same compassion and never-ending support she had for her children waiting for them; serving and shaping the lives of many.

Lisa lived a lifetime full of creating meaningful, long-lasting friendships wherever she went. Those who knew Lisa can attest to her quick witted charm, her bright smile that filled up a room, her magnetic personality, and generous soul.

Lisa was an avid gardener, finding joy in perusing nurseries searching for plants that needed a tender touch to bring them back to life. Her home on Magnolia could be found surrounded by vibrant landscaping, providing a haven to her favorite bird, the hummingbird. She also found enjoyment in traveling, dancing at the Little Red Hen, attending shows at the Paramount Theatre with family and friends, and accompanying her parents to the Seattle Opera.

Lisa lives on through her children, Amanda Marie Ragsdale (Husband Sam), Joshua Buchanan Puddy-Montague, Matthew Ryan Hamilton, and Melissa Sue Hamilton. She is survived by a long list of people who loved her, including, but not limited to: her father LaVern Puddy, 3 nieces, and 1 nephew. In passing she joins her mother, Frances Manone Puddy, and her siblings R. Scott Puddy, Linda Lucile Puddy, and Paige Marie Puddy-McHugh.

The family held a private Celebration of Life, honoring her life and the impression she left on the world. Lisa will be laid to rest at the Puddy family plot located within Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Queen Anne.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please donate, in memory of Lisa Puddy, to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center http://engage.fredhutch.org/goto/LisaPuddy
