Livonia Ann Simpson GentryKnoxville, TNLivonia Ann Simpson Gentry, age 83, went to her heavenly home on June 16th, 2017 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville after a short battle with cancer. Ann was a current member of West Hills Baptist Church in Knoxville, and a former member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Lenoir City. She was born on December 15th, 1933 to James and Anna Lee Simpson in Knoxville. In her spiritual life she was dedicated to serving the communities and needs of the church. She was known by many for her delicious potato salad, fudge, and deviled eggs. Ann is best described by her family and friends as Christian, Loving, Giving, with eternal Kindness. She retired from Tom Foods after over 30 years and has many lifelong friends from her time there. Ann was a lover of life, and was a "Caregiver to All". She was blessed with a large and loving family.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell Gentry, and her beloved sister and brothers-in-law, Lib and Lloyd Wright, Ben Thomas; step son, Don Gentry. Ann is survived by her daughters; Gloria (David) Templeton, Lisa (Steve) Lawing and Dee Dee (Mike) Romeo; Grandchildren; Stephen (Melissa) and Erik (Stephanie) Lawing, Christy(Michael)Erwin, and Luke Romeo; great grandchildren; Jackson, Jacob, Christian,Jessica (Brendon) Lee, Sammi (Juan) Sanchez, Colby, Paige, and Emerson, Elyse and Ben; great great grandchildren; Valarie, and John; sisters; Martha Thomas, Marilyn Taylor, and Judy (Ray) Morgan; sister-in-law, Trula Lawson; brother-in-law, Jack Longmire; stepchildren, Dennis (Barbara) Gentry, Linda Gentry, and many beloved step grand and great grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends. Ann will be dearly missed by her loved ones, friends and church family, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21 at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel with a service to Celebrate Ann's life to immediately follow. Her officiant will be her nephew, Tim Thomas. Private graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery . Our angel will always be missed, and will be in our hearts forever.
