LIGONIER — Lloyd "Louie" Lambright, age 65, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the Avalon Village Nursing Home in Ligonier, Indiana. He was born on December 15, 1950, to Amos D. and Edna J. (Gingerich) Lambright in Topeka, Indiana. Lloyd was a man of many traits. He worked for many years as a factory worker for Redman Homes as well as a volunteer firefighter in Topeka. Acquiring his auctioneer's license, Lloyd got together with his siblings to pull together a few successful auctions. He liked to play softball and golf. He had no problem making friends wherever he was. He knew a lot of people and a lot of people knew him too. He is survived by his son, Zachary (Sara) Lambright of Tucson, Arizona, a sister; Lucille (John) Kurtz of Topeka, Indiana; a brother, Richard (Barbara) Lambright of Simpsonville, South Carolina; along with several nieces and nephews Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Edna Lambright; and his infant sister, Arlene Lambright. A memorial service will be held in Lloyd's honor on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Church, 806 S. Main St., Topeka, Indiana. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate. A private burial will follow at a later date. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at Maple Grove Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Lloyd's name to Maple Grove Church. Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
