Lloyd M. Rueber, 75, died on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at his home in Oronoco. The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, Rochester, Minn. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be at 2 p.m. in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery - Preston, Minn. Lloyd Maurice Rueber was born on Sept. 12, 1941, in Oronoco Township, Olmsted County, to Roger and Marie (Morrow) Rueber. He graduated from Pine Island High School. On May 16, 1962, he entered into the United States Navy. He served for over 21 years and retired as senior chief officer for Firefighting Training Center in Great Lakes Illinois. Lloyd worked at the Mayo Clinic for 20 years before his final retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching stock car races. Lloyd also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Chad (Debbie) Rueber, of Union Grove, Wis., and Jason (Brandy) Rueber, of Hanover Park, Ill.; daughter, Tatiana Ermeloff, of Oronoco; grandchildren, Kendall and Aaron, Reagan, Kennedy and Bryson; brothers, Robert (Jackie) Rueber, of Oronoco, and Kenneth (Mardelle) Rueber, of Pine Island; sister, Mary Thirtle, of Lake Victoria, Texas; many nieces and nephews, along with his dear friends.
