Lois M. Caldwell, 89, a guest at Brookside Senior Living in Brookville and formerly of Hazen, returned to her soul mate Ernest R. Caldwell of over 65 years on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Brookside Senior Living.She was born on March 15, 1925 in Punxsutawney. She was the daughter of Wayne Evans and Eva Jane Burkett. She married Ernest R. Caldwell who preceded her in death on November 23, 2010.She worked as a beautician and owner and operator of Lois's Salon of Beauty in Hazen.She was a member of the Hazen United Methodist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star #320 of Brookville.Lois and her sister Doris, known as the Evans Sisters, loved to sing country music, recording an album and performing at Fanfair in Nashville, TNSurviving are: One daughter, Sherry Delio (Paul) of Brockway; Granddaughter Tara Lin Caldwell May (Michael) of Alexandria, Va.; Brother Gerald Evans of Punxsutawney, Pa. and sister Doris Startzell of Hazen.She was preceded in death by: Parents, husband, son Larry Caldwell, brothers Wayne, Milford, and Clyde Evans and sisters Minnie Furman, Martha Brosius, and Alma Pifer.Visitation at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the McKinney Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Cemetery, Warsaw Township, Jefferson County. Memorials may be made to the .
