It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lola Griffin on June 23rd, 2023 in Gainesboro, Virginia. Born on April 14th, 1938, Lola spent a lifetime of love and devotion to her family, friends, and community. She was the beloved daughter of the late Roland and Miranda Hopper, who instilled in her a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the simple things in life. Lola lived to be 85 years old and was taken by Natural causes.
Lola's passing has left a deep void in the lives of all those who knew her. She will be missed by all, but her memory will remain alive through the fond memories that she has left behind.
Lola is survived by her loving late husband and nine children, Gemma, Brantley, Archilles, Jasslyn, Celia, Kole, Regina, Margaret, and Aden. Lola held her family dear to her heart and was always there for them when needed. Her love was unconditional, and she always put the needs of her family first. Her grandchildren and great - grandchildren brought joy to her life, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.
Lola was a dedicated school teacher, and she spent many years educating the young minds in her community. Her passion for teaching was evident, and she went above and beyond to ensure that her students received a quality education. Her impact on their lives will not be forgotten, and she will always be remembered as a beloved teacher who made a difference in their lives.
Lola was a kind and generous person who will always be remembered for her compassionate heart and her warm smile. She possessed a giving spirit and was always there for those in need, offering her support and encouragement. Her legacy will live on through the many lives that she touched, and her presence will be dearly missed.
