Lola Pearl (Swartz) Schuckers, age 98, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully onMonday, June 27, 2016, as a resident of Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville PA. She was born on August 18, 1917, to the late Samuel and Madaline (Eckman) Swartz, inEmerickville, PA. On May 20, 1935, she married Harold "Lefty" Schuckers, inWellsburg, WV; he preceded her in death in April of 2003. Lola was employed by Sylvania Electric and Alltel Telephone Company. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Brookville, and she was its oldest member at the time of her death. Lola attended Brookville High School. She was a loving Christian mother, and grandmother to all of her family, and will be greatly missed. Special thanks are extended from the family for the special care provided to her in her final days by the Hospice Caregivers. Lola is survived by 2 daughters; Donna (Walter) Dick of Huntsville,AL; Norma Burnett of Austin, TX; 5 grandchildren, Jody (George) Gauthier of Abita Springs, LA; Jayne (Mark) Russell of Huntsville, AL; Dan (Mardi) Means of Sigel, PA; Gregory (Karen) Haines of Austin, TX; Beth (Ron) Hart of Waco, TX; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandsons; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and 5 nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by 1 brother, John; 1 sister Margaret Emerick; and 1 great-grandchild. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, from 6-8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, Ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by the Rev. J. Ray Baker. Interment will take place at the Brookville Cemetery in Brookville, Jefferson Co., PA.
