Loma Louise OvermyerENGLEWOOD, FL: 84, of Englewood, Florida passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at her Charlotte County residence. Loma was born on July 22, 1932 in Elmore, Ohio to Lloyd "Shorty" and Irma (Rideout) Long. On Dec. 17, 1949, she married J. Martin "Marty" Overmyer. They were married nearly 54 years until his passing on Nov. 15, 2003.She had been a resident of Englewood for ten years uprooting from Madeira Beach, Florida where she had lived prior to moving from Perrysburg, Ohio. Loma retired from being a nursing home administrator at several nursing organizations in Florida. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and enjoyed reading.Survivors include her five children, Michael (Janet) of Toledo, John (Brenda) of Conway, South Carolina, Brian (LeeAnn) of New Bavaria, Ohio, Allen (Vikki) of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Carol Heishman of Northwood; former daughter in law, Terri Overmyer of Marblehead; siblings, Lawrence (Phyllis) Long of Lindsey, Lois (Leon) Rader of Elmore, and Linda (Roy) Copley of Gibsonburg; sister in law, Bonnie Long of Gibsonburg; 15 grandchildren; and 30 + great grandchildren. Loma is preceded in death by her husband, J. Martin Overmyer; son, William "Woody" Overmyer; and brother, James Long. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017, 2 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg Ohio where visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Rev.
