We gather here today to celebrate the physical life of Lonnie Virgil Jr. better known to everyone as L-J or Jay. Lonnie was the youngest son of Lonnie Dell Virgil Sr. and Linda Kaye McClinton. Born on May 9, 1995, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lonnie Jr. managed to keep us entertained for his short time on Earth.Lonnie thrived during his time at Du Sable High School in Chicago, Illinois. Lonnie was always known for his sharp wit and infectious laughter, making friends easily and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He graduated from high school in 2013 with a heart full of dreams and an eagerness to conquer the world. Lonnie's professional journey led him to the world of beauty, where he recently worked at Ulta Beauty in Lexington, KY. With his dazzling personality and penchant for creativity, he quickly became a favorite amongst colleagues and customers alike. His eye for the perfect shade of lipstick or the latest skincare trend was unparalleled.Though Lonnie didn't have any children of his own, he had a unique ability to connect with young ones. Many will remember his contagious enthusiasm during family gatherings and the hilarious stories he would share, leaving children in fits of giggles and adults wiping away tears from laughter.Lonnie Jr. departed from this world on August 18, 2023, surprising us. L-J may no longer be with us in the physical realm, but his spirit will forever be with us through the journey of life because his light will continue to shine on in the hearts of all those he loved and who loved him in return.Lonnie is survived by his mother, Linda McClinton and his siblings: Kimberly & Kamar Brasfield, Leon & Natasha McClinton, Lashonda Virgil, Teresa & Allen Ayers, LaVandria Virgil, Jara & Kevin Dixon, Marcus & Nicole McClinton, Anita & Jason Weaver. God Sisters Renea Davis, J’Maika Combs and God Brother, James Combs. Lonnie also leaves behind his nieves and nephews, Kamron, Jalen, Kayla, Leon Jr., Tyra, Kenzie, Ra’Kiya, Jacob, Monique, Naliya, Kaylee, Nevaeh, Kason, Za’Niyah, Madisyn, Deon, Marcus Jr., Braddox, Zodiak, KayLynn, KayLee, Kyndal, and JourneeLonnie was proceeded in by his father, Lonnie Dell Virgil Sr., Step Father, Thomas “Leggs” Jones, his sister, Jacquelyn Virgil, his Paternal Grandparents, Floyd and Lily Virgil, his Maternal Grandparents, Freddie “Pop” & Arnetta McClinton, Uncle, Spence “PC” McClinton and Best Friend Eddie.
