Lorain Carr, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Waxhaw, North Carolina. She was born on February 6, 1941, to Donald and Esther Williams.
Lorain married her sweetheart, Larry Carr, in 1961, and together they raised four children: Leanna Mulcare, Bernadette Keith, Gina Colvin, and Michelle Carr. She was also a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren.
After graduating from Western Union High School in 1961, Lorain went on to work at Broome’s Nursing Home until her well-deserved retirement in 1990. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and volunteering with the Salvation Army.
Lorain will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and delicious home-cooked meals. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
